Yes, we are wheelchair accessible. The Creepy Walk in the Woods is along the flood plain of the Big Thompson River, the site is located on acreage planted with field grass. The ground is a mixture of mulch and dirt. There is a slight elevation change between the entry and the end.
The Savage Woods, LLC, a small-family owned company, has made reasonable accommodations for the attendees. Concreting, paving or making accommodations that are more permanent is disproportionately costly as well as forbidden by local, state and federal regulations on portions of the property. This is a temporary event.
We know that some in the public are much more equal than others when it comes to pets. Here are 3 levels of answers to the question we answer with NO, NO AND NO AGAIN. NO. WE DON'T CARE HOW WELL BEHAVED YOUR DOG IS. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Here it is the nice way: Please no pets. This policy will be STRICTLY ENFORCED. Service animals for persons with disabilities, as defined under the ADA, will be the only exception to this policy. A pet is not a service animal. A dog whose sole purpose is to provide emotional support, comfort, or companionship is not a service animal and it will be excluded from the property.
In Legalese: Pursuant to federal law the service animal must be under the control of its handler. It is a crime under Colorado’s criminal code to intentionally misrepresent that an animal is a service animal or to intentionally misrepresent that a person is entitled to a service animal so please leave your pet at home unless it is a service animal.
AS BLUNT AS POSSIBLE: Bringing a Service Animal to a Haunted House is considered animal abuse. We will report owner to the humane society, file charges and do everything in our power to socially shame you. DO NOT BRING YOUR FRIGGING DOG!!
Yes, this really happened. We cannot fix stupid, but we can add it to our website.
